Finding and Creating New Nest Sites

We found the first nesting prairie falcons on the Athabasca River in 2015!

We monitor these rivers for nest sites and work to improve potential future nesting locations.

There are also Prairie falcons on the North Saskatchewan River. They nested in 2017 but there was only a single individual seen at the nest site we know of in 2018.
